Tens of millions of Black Friday bargain hunters poured into major retailers including Walmart across the country. So far, reports say that this year, the nation's mega-shopping weekend is less frenzy while online shopping somehow has diffused crowds.
More than a dozen major stores opened on Thanksgiving Day and stayed open through Black Friday. But online shops such as eBay and Amazon were reported to have significant increase in Thanksgiving and Black Friday sales compared to last year. This means that Americans prefer online purchases probably to refrain from retail mob scenes.
Though Black Friday turned out to be generally less frenzy this year because of online shopping, check the scene at Walmart while shoppers go crazy over television sets on sale.
