Survey Says Kids Want an iPad this Christmas

Survey says kids want an iPad this Christmas. A recent survey in the US conducted by Nielsen says that approximately 50% of kids aged 6-12 would like to get an iPad for Christmas rather than Xbox, Wii U, computer, and even smartphone. And this study also proves that in the previous years, Apple’s popularity during holiday season continues to be a trend.

About half of the children asked are more interested to get a full-sized iPad as against the recently launched iPad mini which earned 36% of the total number of votes. The kids surveyed are generally more interested in the latest iOS. The newly released Nintendo Wii U is the second most requested over iPod Touch and iPhone.

Extending the survey to age group 13 and up, Nielsen found that the iPad is still at the top of the list of the most wished item with 21% of the votes. At second place is the Computer with 19% of the votes and 18% of the votes for those who wished for any tablet. Both teens and adults are also interested in getting the Wii U, the iPhone and Internet-enabled TVs.

Apparently with the results presented, educational apps is gonna be a big hit this holiday season. But at the same time, watch out because you’re gonna be slashing a big portion of your pockets and your parents pockets. It’s really a big gift for you in time of the Holidays!
