Rose Fostanes has entered into the top 8 of X factor Israel on Wednesday, December 25.

The Filipina caregiver in Tel Aviv sang “I Who Have Nothing” by Tom Jones in the top 10 performance show.



The host of the show said she was “so gifted” and “amazing, everytime, again and again”.

And since it was Christmas during the live show, Rose also took the time to greet all her Filipino friends a Merry Christmas.

“I’m happy and I’m sad. I’m happy because I’m here in X Factor but I’m sad because my family is not with me”, Rose added. To which the host answered “But you have a new family now, another one, not as a replacement but another one”.

The latest round was a double elimination and with her performance, she was able to continue to the next round of the competition.

Rose, also called as Osang, is a 46-year old caregiver in Israel. She received a standing ovation and a round of applause from everyone including the judges on her audition where she sang “This is My Life” of Shirley Bassey.

Filipina X Factor Israel contestant Rose Fostanes has made an outstanding performance on the first live show of “X Factor Israel” Wednesday, Dec 18.

The Tel Aviv-based caregiver received applause and standing ovation from the judges and cheering audience for her rendition of the Christina Aguillera hit song “Beautiful.”

Judge Moshe Peretz and Shiri Maimon said “perfect,” while Rami Fortis can't help but say “You are beautiful. I love you”.

“You are probably the best singer in the competition. But Shiri (Fostanes' mentor), there’s a problem, you just wasted your final song for the finals. It’s a perfect, perfect song,” said pop star Ivri Lider.

“Rose, you always make me cry,” added host Bar Refaeli on her spiel.

Having earned high votes from the viewers, Rose Fostanes is on her way for the next round as she enters the Top 11.
