In a latest development of the case filed by Vhong Navarro against Cedric Lee, Denice Cornejo and others, Tony Calvento, a print and broadcast journalist, revealed that he had a conversation with one of the accused and is willing to testify against Cedric Lee, Deniece Cornejo, Zimmer Raz and the others involved in the mauling incident.

As read on his Facebook account:

I met with someone who was trying to facilitate the surrender and turning as State Witness of someone from the accused on the Vhong Navarro case.

I was given the GREEN LIGHT by Secretary Leila De Lima to talk to this person.

He was supposed to turn in the suspect last Wednesday at the latest but said he was going to do that after the Holy Week.

The testimony is explosive. The details where, what time and when the planning of the setting up of Vhong Navarro was given to me. The place where they had dinner was also revealed.

He even made me talk to the suspect on the phone and this person with a deep voice kept on crying and asked me to help him. He asked me to help give him protection.

He was very scared of Cedric Lee and I said that Sec. Leila Delima can assign NBI agents to guard him.
Finally, the suspect on the other end of the line revealed to me the identity of the JOHN DOE who went with Zimmer Raz and Bernice Lee. He was the one holding the duct tape as viewed through the CCTV in the elevator.

If things go well the person even added that one of the accused who had managed to slip out of the country is willing to come back and turn the tables on Cedric and the others.

Just want to remind this person that should you change your mind, the Sec. already knows all the details and is processing and evaluating the information you have given me.

I just don’t want people twisting the truth and turning the tables on me later on.
My work is as transparent as crystal and my intentions as clear as summer’s day.

If the NBI and the PNP don’t get to you then the people whom you will squeal on will do so.

By process of elimination and deductive reasoning they know who you are. You have very little time to make your move.

CCTV’s are all over the place you mentioned and this vital breakthrough on the case will bolster the Serious Illegal Detention case Vhong had filed.<

Roxanne Cabañero filed a rape complaint against Vhong Navarro on Wednesday at the Pasig City Prosecutor's Office.

Cabañero claimed that she was raped by TV host-actor Vhong Navarro on April 24, 2010 at around 10:30 to 11:30pm in Astoria Plaza Hotel, Ortigas, Pasig City.

According to her lawyer, Roxanne was raped by Vhong in 2010 and decided to file a case now after learning that Deniece Cornejo has filed the same complaint against the comedian.

But according to reports, the rape complaint didn’t happen because Navarro had a concert together with Vice Ganda and singer Kean Cipriano at Island Cove in Kawit, Cavite on the same date.



The said concert, dubbed as ‘May Nagtext May Show Ako‘ finished at around 2 in the morning, April 25, 2010.

Cipriano was able to tweet after the said show congratulating Vice and Vhong for the successful show.

In line with the on going investigation of actor Vhong Navarro's mauling incident, a CCTV footage acquired by National Bureau of Investigation shows Cedric Lee kissing Deniece Cornejo inside the elevator.

The footage also shows Lee's sister Bernice arriving with 2 men at Cornejo's condo on January 22, the night that actor and TV host Vhong Navarro was mauled.

Previously, Deniece clarified that Cedric Lee is not his boyfriend. Watch the video:

Following the interview of Vhong Navarro on the Buzz ng Bayan where he narrated the incident and denied the attempted rape which was in a police blotter reported by GMA news, the network released an official statement

"This is to clarify that the complainant involved in the Vhong Navarro incident is not related to GMA Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon."

"From the moment GMA News learned of the story, it sought the side of Vhong Navarro. Chito Roño, his manager, gave GMA News a written statement, which was aired yesterday. Today, GMA News aired an interview with Navarro's lawyer Atty. Alma Mallonga."

"The report about the alleged attempted rape was based on the blotter filed at the Investigative Section of the Southern Police District where Vhong Navarro was taken after the incident. Other news organizations also reported it."

Deniece Millet Cornejo according to Vhong Navarro is the friend who invited him in her condominium unit in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig. Cedric Lee, the one who leaded the extortion against the entertainer upon arriving at the said condo unit.

In an interview in "Buzz ng Bayan", Vhong Navarro narrated the incident and has been set-up and beaten up by a group of 6-7 men. He was threatened, tied up and tortured. He was also allegedly accused to attempted rape against a 22 year old girl, and they also faked a statement for blotter.

A blog post identifies Deniece Millete Cornejo as a model and a part time television actress. She is also a choreographer, speaker, trendsetter, art designer. She also appeared in Lovers in Paris with KC Concepcion and Maalala Mo Kaya (MMK) episode with Erich Gonzales.

Cedric Lee is the former boyfriend of Singer/Actress Vina Morales.

Vhong Navarro finally speak up about the mauling incident happened inside a condominium unit in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig on Wednesday, January 22, 2013.

Vhong Navarro tells Buzz ng Bayan: "Grabe, binaboy nila ko. Tinakot nila ko. Pinaratangan na papatayin." He told that Deniece Milinette Cornejo blackmailed him and was also threatened by a group of men including Cedric Lee. In tears, Vhong added he was asked to tell that he raped his friend (Deniece) while somebody is video taping him. The group of 6 men even asked him to give Php 1 million for damages.

After torturing him, certain Mike appeared and spoke with him telling he will be brought to a police precint for a blotter and it is for Mike's group protection.

Filipino actor Vhong Navarro reportedly beaten up by several men.

The incident happened inside a condominium unit in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig on Wednesday, January 22, 2013, according to his manager.

In a statement given to ABS-CBN News on Friday, Navarro's manager, film director Chito Roño, said the comedian was invited by a female friend to visit her in condominium unit.

Roño, said Navarro was blindfolded, also threatened and was a victim of extortion, adding they have yet to find out the reason behind the attack.

Speaking with ABS-CBN News, Roño added Navarro may undergo an operation due to his injuries. He said Navarro is unable to detail the incident as he cannot speak properly.

“Si Vhong Navarro ay naimbitihan sa isang condominium unit sa Fort ng isang kaibigang babae. At sa di pa malamang kadahilanan, siya ay piniringan, pinagtulungang bugbugin, ginapos, tinakot, at hinihingan ng pera ng isang grupo ng kalalakihan noong January 22, Miyerkules.

“Si Vhong ay kasalukuyang nagpapagaling at mawawala ng pansamantala sa ‘It’s Showtime’ at iba pa niyang proyekto.”
