Sister Cristina, won the competition with a rendition of What A Feeling from the movie Flashdance after a finale between heavy rock performer Giacomo Voli who sang Stairway to Heaven.

She took the title, and the Universal record contract, with a convincing 62 percent of the votes. After being declared the winner she led the TV studio audience in the Lord's Prayer before breaking down in tears.



A native of Sicily, this 25-year-old Scuccia became a global sensation after appearing on Italy's version of The Voice is a member of the Ursuline Sisters of the Holy Family, rendering an amazing performance in her black habit and silver cross.

Sister Cristina Scuccia, who even sang a duet with Kylie Minogue, thanked God and Pope Francis for her victory with a stunning 62% of the telephone vote.

"My presence here is not up to me, it's thanks to the man upstairs.

"I'm not here to start a career but because I want to send out a message, to evangelise and bring Jesus even here."

Standing next to the mother superior of her Ursuline order, Sister Agatha, she added: "I really didn't expect all this.

"My aim was to say that I have encountered Jesus. I have a gift and God gave me that gift and I have used it to say that God has taken nothing away from me.

"The priorities in my life are prayer, getting up early and teaching at my school. I will never give up on my vows and the greatest love of my life for a singing career."

Sister Cristina Scuccia, the singing nun hit the stage of The Voice of Italy again on Wednesday, this time joined by pop star Kylie Minogue.

Sister Cristina performed a lively rendition of "What a Feeling" from the '80s hit "Flashdance" and later sang Minogue's "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" with other show participants.





Sister Scuccia became an internet sensation after she auditioned for the popular reality TV show, singing a rendition of Alicia Keys’ ‘No One’, in full habit.

Scuccia stunned again judges and audience on Wednesday in the show's first Battle round, and emerged victorious against 23-year-old Luna Palumbo.

Sister Cristina's mentor J-Ax, chooses her over Palumbo. The two women performed "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper, and Scuccia had her sisters dancing and cheering as they watched her energetic performance from the sidelines.

“She unlocked the next level like in a video game,” Scuccia’s coach J-Ax said after her performance. “She is now Mother Superior.. When Sister Cristina sings she gives joy, and this is her gift."

Audience of the “The Voice of Italy" were mesmerized as Sister Cristina Scuccia belts out Alicia Keys' "No One," but Judges were in for a greater shock when they turned their seats and saw what this lady Scuccia looked like.

A native of Sicily, this 25-year-old Scuccia is a member of the Ursuline Sisters of the Holy Family, rendering an amazing performance in her black habit and silver cross. Yes, she is a Sister in action. As the crowd cheered, her fellow sisters jumped up and down in delight.
The shocked and impressed judges asked her if she was really a nun, to which she replied, "Yes, I am truly, truly, a sister."

“I came here because I have a gift and I want to share that gift. I am here to evangelize,” she said, reports Catholic News Agency. "If I had found you at Mass I would always be in church," said J-Ax, an Italian rapper who is one of the judges. "You and me are like the devil and holy water." She trended on Twitter after her unbelievable performance, with many Italians showing their love for "#suorcristina."



NY Daily News reports that the judges even asked her what the Vatican would think of her singing, and she replied, "I hope that Pope Francis will call me now.

Really an amazing Sister act!
