The “Ice Bucket Challenge” is a public awareness campaign for the degenerative disease ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, in which people- including many politicians and celebrities, have soaked themselves with very cold water.

Christie, a Republican posted video on his Facebook page Tuesday evening , and he challenged Booker, late night TV show host Jimmy Fallon and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Robin Williams died on Monday morning inside his residence in Tiburon, California, according to his wife and publicist.

A statement issued by Williams’ publicist confirmed the news: “Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time”.

Williams' wife, Susan Schneider, issued the following statement: "This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin's family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin's death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions."

The Marin County Sheriff’s Office suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia.

Sister Cristina, won the competition with a rendition of What A Feeling from the movie Flashdance after a finale between heavy rock performer Giacomo Voli who sang Stairway to Heaven.

She took the title, and the Universal record contract, with a convincing 62 percent of the votes. After being declared the winner she led the TV studio audience in the Lord's Prayer before breaking down in tears.



A native of Sicily, this 25-year-old Scuccia became a global sensation after appearing on Italy's version of The Voice is a member of the Ursuline Sisters of the Holy Family, rendering an amazing performance in her black habit and silver cross.

Sister Cristina Scuccia, who even sang a duet with Kylie Minogue, thanked God and Pope Francis for her victory with a stunning 62% of the telephone vote.

Here are some words from Sour Cristina:

"My presence here is not up to me, it's thanks to the man upstairs.

"I'm not here to start a career but because I want to send out a message, to evangelise and bring Jesus even here."

Standing next to the mother superior of her Ursuline order, Sister Agatha, she added: "I really didn't expect all this.

"My aim was to say that I have encountered Jesus. I have a gift and God gave me that gift and I have used it to say that God has taken nothing away from me.

"The priorities in my life are prayer, getting up early and teaching at my school. I will never give up on my vows and the greatest love of my life for a singing career."

Leondre Devries says he had a rough time in elementary school because he was being picked on by bullies every day. He decided to put his feelings into words in a song with his friend, Charlie Lenehan.



It didn’t take long for audience members to rise to their feet and cheer for the two boys from Wales. All four judges also gave the boys a standing ovation.



“I think that record could be a hit, I really do,” Cowell said. “I really, really like you two.”

Simon Cowell used his gold buzzer to put young rap duo Bars And Melody through to the live shows on Saturday night's episode of Britian's Got Talent.

In case you missed it, the Amazing Spider-Man 2 star Andrew Garfield showed off his many special skills when he joined Jimmy Fallon on 'The Tonight Show' on Thursday.

Garfield was ambushed by the host to showcase his latest skill: playing the guitar. "I play very simple Cat Stevens songs, and very simple Neil Young songs," 30-year-old Garfield shyly told Fallon, who pressed the actor about his new hobby. Then, as Andrew talked, Fallon slowly pulled out a guitar from behind his desk.



The actor performed a mean version of the theme to the classic "Spider-Man" cartoon. "This is the first time I've ever sung in public," he admitted, as host Jimmy Fallon broke out a tambourine and played along as The Roots joined in.

A French mother is getting some attention for giving a “hobo” her leftover pizza — she didn’t realize he was Richard Gere being filmed for a movie.

According to the New York Post, she’d just left Little Italy with her family when she saw the “hobo” digging through the trash.

She offered him their leftover pizza, and he took it saying, “Thank you so much. God bless you.”

"America's Got Talent" released a teaser YouTube video showing those who auditioned as they performed on stage. One of them is Gabriel Valenciano, who came in a red tank top and colorful pair of tight pants, reminiscent of his outfits in his 'super selfie' videos.



Gab confirmed with ABS-CBN News on Thursday, saying he took the stage with a dance routine inspired by his viral "super selfie" series.

In a teaser video, judge Howard Stern said: "I'm looking this season for something different, something fun, something exciting, something you don't see in "America's Got Talent,"



Gab has achieved global online hits for his series of "Super Selfie" videos on YouTube. His most recent "super selfie" featured "Mirabella" actor Sam Concepcion and '90s dance group The Manoeuvres.



America's Got Talent new season will start airing in the US on May 27.

Scuccia stunned again judges and audience on Wednesday in the show's first Battle round, and emerged victorious against 23-year-old Luna Palumbo.

Sister Cristina's mentor J-Ax, chooses her over Palumbo. The two women performed "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper, and Scuccia had her sisters dancing and cheering as they watched her energetic performance from the sidelines.

“She unlocked the next level like in a video game,” Scuccia’s coach J-Ax said after her performance. “She is now Mother Superior.. When Sister Cristina sings she gives joy, and this is her gift."

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back. The first teaser trailer for "TMNT: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," the upcoming movie reboot of the cartoon franchise, debuted on Thursday, March 27, 2014.

The trailer first shown to exhibitors in Las Vegas Monday night as part of the CinemaCon convention, delivering the first real footage from the Michael Bay-produced reboot of the iconic comic book and TV franchise.

The teaser shows Megan Fox as journalist April O'Neil, one of the main allies of the radical crime fighters.

In the clip, Michelangelo shows up behind April (Megan Fox) who freaks out, but he tells her to calm down because “it’s just a mask.” Then he takes off his mask, which we all know barely covers anything but his eyes, and reveals his face. Watch what happen next..

As the world trembles at the thought of a potential showdown between Russia and the rest of the world, Japanese are swooning over a clip of Ms Poklonskaya giving a press conference.

The video clip of the new prosecutor of the Crimean Republic recently went viral in Japan. Japanese netizens have also made Poklonskaya, 33, an anime heroine, creating multiple versions of fan art bearing her likeness and professing their love online.



Ms Poklonskaya, who previously served as a prosecutor for the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's office, was appointed to the job of attorney general on 11 March. She takes over as Crimea’s leading legal figure during the most complicated time in the peninsula's history since the end of WWII.



Poklonskaya seemed unaware of her newfound fame when asked about her anime alter-ego.

“This is the first I’ve heard of it,” she told Russian TV channel NTV. “Well, I want to be viewed as the attorney general, and I want to be evaluated on the way in which I do my job. I’m putting tremendous effort into that.”



In another interview, Poklonskaya said the reaction online was a “great surprise” to her, adding that she had no social media presence.

As of Monday, Crimea was teetering on the edge of becoming a Russian property after a vote revealed that 97 percent of people supported Crimea severing ties with Ukraine and joining the Russian Federation. That same day, Crimean authorities passed laws to “pave the way for annexation to Russia,” the Washington Post reported.

Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the "Peanuts" gang are getting the modern big-screen.

The characters from Charles Schulz's long-running classic comic strip are starring in a new feature film, marking their first time in 3D.

The movie is penned by the Charles Schulz' grandson, Brian, and produced by his son, Craig, who keeps things under wrap as far as plot details, are concerned:

"It's about a round-headed kid and his dog, and that's about as far as I'm willing to go," he said.

The comic strip, Peanuts, read everyday by 355 million people since its debut, will mark its 65th anniversary upon the release of the movie in November 2015.

A teaser trailer was released online Tuesday, featuring Charlie and his beloved canine. In the new clip, we get to hear the 8-year-old utter his notorious "good grief" catch phrase as Snoopy runs circles around him, seen in the video below.

"Peanuts" comes to theaters on Nov. 6, 2015.

The shocked and impressed judges asked her if she was really a nun, to which she replied, "Yes, I am truly, truly, a sister."

“I came here because I have a gift and I want to share that gift. I am here to evangelize,” she said, reports Catholic News Agency. "If I had found you at Mass I would always be in church," said J-Ax, an Italian rapper who is one of the judges. "You and me are like the devil and holy water." She trended on Twitter after her unbelievable performance, with many Italians showing their love for "#suorcristina."



NY Daily News reports that the judges even asked her what the Vatican would think of her singing, and she replied, "I hope that Pope Francis will call me now.

Roxanne Cabañero filed a rape complaint against Vhong Navarro on Wednesday at the Pasig City Prosecutor's Office.

Cabañero claimed that she was raped by TV host-actor Vhong Navarro on April 24, 2010 at around 10:30 to 11:30pm in Astoria Plaza Hotel, Ortigas, Pasig City.

According to her lawyer, Roxanne was raped by Vhong in 2010 and decided to file a case now after learning that Deniece Cornejo has filed the same complaint against the comedian.

But according to reports, the rape complaint didn’t happen because Navarro had a concert together with Vice Ganda and singer Kean Cipriano at Island Cove in Kawit, Cavite on the same date.



The said concert, dubbed as ‘May Nagtext May Show Ako‘ finished at around 2 in the morning, April 25, 2010.

Cipriano was able to tweet after the said show congratulating Vice and Vhong for the successful show.

It's about time for Dinobots. Movie fans have been given their first sneak peak of Transformers: Age of Extinction after a 30-second clip premiered at the Super Bowl 2014.

The movie is a continuation of the current Autobot storyline but with significant tweaks to the robot designs as well as swapping out the human cast (formerly led by Shia LaBeauf) for an all new batch of Hollywood stars with Mark Wahlberg in the starring role.

The film brings back the series' trademark, shape-shifting CGI robots such as Autobots Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, with appearances by a new strain of machine called Dinobots, such as the Tyrannosaurus-shaped Grimlock.

While it may have been brief, the clip certainly seems to have been a hit with fans.
