A Wendy’s employee allegedly served one of the fast food customers a cheeseburger with something not actually included in the menu – marijuana.
According to the Lovejoy Police Department of Georgia, USA, on the 1st of last month, someone called 911 complaining that she found a half-smoked joint in her cheeseburger which was served in Wendy’s.
The Police later found out on an inquest in the same fast food that the crew who waited on the customer was Amy Seiber, 32, who also without further ado confessed that the marijuana was hers.
The Police disclosed that Seiber told them she was smoking pot on duty that day and “misplaced” the blunt inside the cheeseburger, lying right on the pickle.
As a consequence, Seiber was fired from the job and arrested by the Police for marijuana possession. The joint was taken as evidence.
It was reported by TMZ that they conversed with the customer and she told them that she experienced symptoms like those of food poisoning after the incident and had to be hospitalized.
The lucky customer also said that Wendy’s has volunteered to help pay for the hospitalization bills and has even openhandedly gave her a gift certificate worth 50$.
"Obviously the employee broke the rules and did not follow proper food handling steps. We are deeply sorry that this incident occurred”, a representative for Wendy’s stated. The rep also said that the diner is working out a promising solution with the customer, including paying her medical bills.
