Taylor Swift named the Most Charitable Star of 2013, 1D comes in 2nd, Justin Bieber on the 20th spot




Country-pop star Taylor Swift has been named Most Charitable Celebrity of 2013 by dosomething.org in its “Top 20 Celebs Gone Good of 2013” post.



The 24-year old singer has been embracing the title for 2 years in a row now. Taylor’s work includes her $100,000 donation to Nashville Symphony. In addition to that, her show during the Winter White Gala in London that was hosted by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did well to “Centrepoint”, an org that helps homeless people.

English-Irish boy band One Direction comes in second spot after releasing the single “One Way or Another” where the funds that was supposed to be used for the music video shoot of the song was donated instead to “Comic Relief”, a charity that helps funding projects around the world. Members Harry Styles and Liam Payne also were able to raise $784,345 which would benefit cancer research.

Third place is for Beyonce who headlined a charity concert in London for “Chime for Change”.
Fast and Furious star, late Paul Walker, comes at four. Reach Out Worldwide is a charity founded by the actor that benefits those affected by natural disasters.

Fifth spot is for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis whose hit song “Same Love” dared everyone to have a culture of assent for they discussed marriage equality.

Also included in the list are Sandra Bullock, Kerry Washington, Ian Somerhalder, Ryan Seacrest and Carrie Underwood for top six through ten.

Jennifer Lawrence, Alicia Keys, Bryan Cranston & Aaron Paul, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Blake Shelton, Mindy Kaling, Kevin Durant, Kendrick Lamar and Justin Bieber made it to the top eleven through twenty.
