Justin Bieber Appeals to the Public for Typhoon Haiyan, Yolanda Victims in the Philippines

In partnership with Prizeo, Canadian pop star Justin Bieber launched a campaign video, December 4, inviting everyone to provide aid to the underprivileged victims of super typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

A video has been uploaded on YouTube to announce his intent.

“Everyone knows I’ve got the best fans in the world. So the moment I heard about the tragedy a few weeks back, I knew I could count on you guys to make a difference. So I’m looking for you guys to help me help them,” he appealed to millions of his fans, the Beliebers.

To raise more the spirits of those willing to help, Bieber announced something he has never done before. For everyone who gives back, he will pick a winner who can join him in the studio next year and work on new songs by giving the singer with ideas and all.

As explained via www.prizeo.com/justin, the beneficiaries of the effort include UNICEF, Action Against Hunger, and Philam Foundation. These organizations are responding to high-priority needs in the typhoon-ravaged areas by providing food, shelter medical care, clean and potable water, safe sanitation, and the building of schools.

Even before this campaign, Bieber already expressed his concern for the Philippines by spray painting a Los Angeles wall on November 17 along with his friend Milk Tyson. It featured the words "Pray 4 Philippines," with the image of hands in prayer. He also auctioned off spray cans with a signed photo of a “Pray 4 Philippines” graffiti.
