Miss Universe 2013 Live Coronation, Final Results and Winners



The Miss Universe 2013 grand coronation night happens tonight, Saturday November 9, 2013 at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow, Russia.


Eighty-Six candidates from around the world will vie for the Miss Universe 2013 title. Miss Universe Olivia Culpo of USA will be handing off the crown to her successor  at the end of the event.

The pageant will be aired live at 10:00 p.m. MSK (UTC+4) in various TV channels all around the world. NBC and Telemundo will also air in the United States but with the tape delayed prime-time telecast at 9:00 p.m. ET, which is nine hours behind Moscow.

“SNBC Live” host Thomas Roberts and “America's Got Talent” judge Melanie Brown, of Spice Girls fame, will host the show with musical guests Panic! At The Disco and EMIN slated to perform. Other hosts include Style Network’s Jeannie Mai and 2012 Miss Universe winner Olivia Culpo.

The Miss Universe pageant is one of the top three pageants in the world run by the Miss Universe Organization. Started in California in 1952 by clothing company Pacific Mills, Trump acquired it in 1996 and currently owns it in joint partnership with NBC Universal to select women who “personify the combination of beauty and intelligence that defines the 21st century.”

Question for Ecuador: What would happen to the world if we could no longer use the internet?

Ecuador: Tech has disadvantages – we are no longer close with our families. We use the methodology of computers and internet for the positive. It is never too later to start. Let’s start now.

Question for Brazil: What is your opinion in places that do not allow women to vote, or drive cars?

Brazil: Good evening everybody! In my opinion, we as women achieved our independence through time. Unfortunately nowadays we still have problems with our independence. But we need to keep our open minds because nowadays we are homemakers, part of a work force. We are capable of everything.

Question for Spain: What is the most significant thing we can do help elect women to political offices around the world?

Spain: In order to select a good woman, she must posses good qualities in order to do a good job – discipline, knows how to adapt… so she can fulfill her job.

Question for Philippines: What can be done about the lack of jobs for young people starting their career around the world?

Philippines: I do believe we should invest in education – and that is my primary advocacy. … Education is primary source and it is ticket for better future.

Question for Venezuela: What is your biggest fear and how do you plan to overcome it?

Venezuela: We should overcome all our fears and this in turn would make us stronger. As soon as we overcome our fears, we can face any challenge.
