The Apple’s iPad has been the Government of the United Kingdom’s fav especially the members of the parliament and even an iPad app was customized for UK’s Prime Minister David Cameron. Despite of this, it’s been reported that UK Government is not allowing the use of this tablet device during cabinet meetings and other sensitive closed-door conversations.

One UK publication, The Daily Mail reports that a number of iPad devices used in a presentation during last week’s cabinet meeting were seized with certainty that possible hacking on cabinet’s private conversations by a foreign government would occur. Another report The Telegraph says that government ministers/officials have to secure their mobile devices by putting them into soundproof lead-lined boxes before going to sensitive closed-door meetings. This worry came out following the reports from unnamed sources saying that China, Russia, Iran, and Pakistan and even the FBI allegedly have the capability of turning on smart device’s microphone including iPad even it’s turned off.

It’s been a common worry among world leaders that espionage would occur anytime anywhere. It’s been reported recently that the United States has allegedly been spying on many foreign top leaders and Russia’s involvement to this kind of activity having accused of spying on G20 summit attendees with the use of poisoned flash drives.
