Amira Willighagen, sings opera and stuns Holland's Got Talent judges



A nine-year-old Dutch girl Amira Willighagen has won the hearts of the nation and the global internet masses, after a stunning rendition of an operatic classic performed at Holland's Got Talent 2013.

Amira Willighagen - whose rendition of opera piece 'O Mio Babbino Caro' dropped jaws, and has become a Youtube hit - has a South African-born mother, Frieda, who matriculated in Klerksdorp before moving to the Netherlands in 1995.

"This is not normal," commented judge Gordon Heuckeroth as he listened to Amira sing. "It is unbelievable, really." The Dutch young girl won over the show's judges, Gordon Heuckeroth, Dan Karaty and Chantal Janzen. Earning a standing ovation from the audience and winning the hearts of the nation. "Are you really nine years old?" judge Chantal Janzen asked. "This is incredible."



Simon Cowell tweeted her audition this morning.

And the youngster's vocal skills were even more impressive given that she had never taken part in any formal training. Instead of attending singing lessons, Amira revealed she had taught herself the art of opera via watching YouTube videos online.
